Port of Orange Board of Commissioners
by Garrett Bryce
Tuesday, October 10, 2017

The Port of Orange Board of Commissioners on Monday awarded a $191,460 contract to Gulf Coast, an Oldcastle Company, for the Alabama Street and Water Tower Road Repairs Project.

The project includes an asphalt overlay for Alabama Road. The port received two bids on the project, with Gulf Coast providing the lowest responsible bid.

The board unanimously voted to approve funding for marine debris removal at Pier 10, in an amount not to exceed $50,000. The port will utilize Excavation Technologies, Inc. for removal of the debris, which resulted from Hurricane Harvey.

The board took no action resulting from any items discussed in closed session.

All other action items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
