Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve a second amended reimbursement agreement and advancement of funds to the Brazoria-Fort Bend Rail District.

The amendment includes the advancement of $50,000 to the rail district to fund the district's FY2018 Budget. The approval is contingent upon Fort Bend County and Port Freeport approving an equal contribution to the district.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a $184,152 contract to Lorraine Builders, Inc. for the construction of a metal building at the Brazoria County Fairgrounds.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to designate representatives and alternates to the Houston-Galveston Area Council General Assembly and Board of Directors.

Commissioner Stacy Adams was designated as a representative to the General Assembly and delegate to the Board of Directors. Commissioner Ryan Cade was designated a representative to the General Assembly and alternate to Board of Directors.

Adams and Cade were also designated as alternates on the General Assembly.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to clarify appointments to the Brazoria County Emergency Services District No. 3 board of Commissioners.

Darrell Valusek, Frank Hagdorn and Matt Glaves were appointed to the board for terms expiring December 2018.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation declaring October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Brazoria County. Proclamation

The commissioners court voted unanimously to proclaim Brazoria County as a “Purple Heart County.” Proclamation

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation declaring the week of October 8-14 as Texas Extension Education Association Week in Brazoria County. Proclamation

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation declaring November 4 as Walk for Habitat Day in Brazoria County. Proclamation

The commissioners court took no action resulting from items discussed in closed session.
