League City Police Department Hosts Drug Take-Back Event

League City Police Department is hosting a DEA Drug Take Back event Saturday, October 28 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The event will take place in the parking lot of the League City Public Safety Building at 555 West Walker Street. Getting rid of expired or unused medications is as simple as driving through and dropping them off, and it’s anonymous. There is no need to consolidate, romove from packaging or remove labels; however, no sharps will be accepted. All items received will be incinerated off-site.
League City Police Department hosts the drug take back event twice a year. Properly disposing of medications keeps them out of the wrong hands and out of the water system.

“We’ve had a great response from participants. People seem genuinely relieved to get rid of these medications in a safe way,” said Community Outreach Officer Christy Galyean.
