The 24th Annual MLK Grande Parade Is Scheduled For January 15, 2018 Originating In Houston’s Midtown Beginning Promptly @ 10:00AM (CST).

The Parade’s Theme “The Color Of Unity” Will Articulate And Emphasize Our Strengths Through Diversity While Demonstrating What Humanity Looks Like.

The Grand Marshals for the 24th Annual MLK Grande Parade-Houston Are Former Heavy Weight Boxing Champion George Foreman, And Actress/National Recording Artist Yolanda Adams.

The 24Th Annual MLK Grande Parade Will Also Recognize And Honor The Host Of Billion Dollar Buyer, The Houston Rockets Owner And Entrepreneur Tilman Fertitta And Chancellor And President Of The University Of Houston, Renu Khalor.

In Keeping With Our Traditions, We Will Also Honor And Salute Our Immediate Past Co-Grand Marshals Attorneys Benjamin Crump And Ricky Anderson, And Immediate Past Honorees The Honorable Bill King Former Mayor Of Kemah, TX And Art Acevedo, Chief Of Police For The City Of Houston.

Special Recognition With Be Given To The Architect Of The MLK Holiday-Texas, The Honorable Ronald W. Wilson And The Honorable Kim Ogg, Harris County District Attorney, Constable May Walker, Harris County PCT 7, And State Representative Ron Reynolds .

The 24Th Annual MLK Grande Parade Will Be Lead By The University Of Houston Marching Band And The Texas Southern University Marching Bands From Houston, Texas.

There Will Be More Than Three Hundred Culturally Diverse Performing Groups From Across The Nation To Include A Record Setting And Unprecedented Forty Five (45) Nationally Acclaimed Marching Bands.

And Will Feature First Time Participants From Ferguson Missouri, The McCluer Berkeley South High School Marching Band Directed By Mr. Terrell Stringer And The Manor High School Marching Band- Manor, TX Directed By Mr. Darryl D. Williams.

300,000 Spectators Are Expected. This Is Truly A MUST SEE EVENT.
