Beaumont City Council today voted unanimously to terminate the city's declared state of disaster issued for Hurricane Harvey.

The motion also called for the repeal of an ordinance suspending competitive bidding requirements related to the storm.

The city council voted unanimously to submit a grant application and authorize a contract with the Federal Transit Administration to receive operating assistance funds for the Beaumont Municipal Transit System.

The city council voted unanimously to confirm several appointments to the Community Development Advisory Committee, Convention and Tourism Advisory Board, Historic Landmark Commission, Library Commission, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, Planing and Zoning Commission, Police Department Community Advisory Committee, and the Small Business Revolving Loan Fund Board. Appointments are available on the agenda.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Lee Smith, Tom Rowe, Dana L. Timaeus and Joey Hilliard as regular members and Christy Amuny as an alternat to the Board of Adjustment for Zoning.

The city council voted unanimously to reappoint Damian Diaz and Wayne E. Duerler to the Building Board of Appeals.

The city council tabled action regarding the first phase of an agreement with Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam, Inc. for various work related to the sewer collection system.
