Wednesday, October 18, 2017

Seabrook City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to authorize an application to the Texas Office of the Governor's Criminal Justice Division for a grant for rifle-resistant body armor.

The city is seeking funds through the Rifle-Resistant Body Armor Grant Program for FY2018. The grant requires no local matching funds.

The city council voted to authorize an application for a grant through the Criminal Justice Division for facility surveillance and recording equipment for FY2018. The grant also requires no local matching funds.

The city council voted to approve a second and final extension of a demolition agreement with Pacific Ridge Development to vacate the Public Works site on State Highway 146.

The agreement extends the city's vacating and clearing of land, excluding an area designated per the agreements for a well site easement to February 28. The city anticipates that substantial completion of the demolition should occur by November 30, but requested the extension in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

All action items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
