The Texas City City Commission on Wednesday voted unanimously to award a contract to ARKK Engineers for the restoration of the inner rainwater levee.

ARKK will provide engineering services related to the repair of the levee, which is located west of 29th Street. The levee sustained damage during Hurricane Harvey.

Also included in the proposal is repair of erosion damage at the Pump Station B discharge channel.

The city commission voted to approve the purchase of 500 Visa gift cards in the amount of $50 each, to be given to city employees as incentive for continued outstanding customer service and performance.

The city commission voted to award a contract to Republic Services for sludge disposal for a term of one year.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Commissioner Thelma Bowie absent. Agenda
