2017 Doolin Cup Adaptive Regatta 

GALVESTON, Texas -  Sea Star Base Galveston is the site for the 3rd Annual Doolin Cup Adaptive Regatta, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Races begin 10:30 am Friday.

A program of Community Sailing, the Doolin Cup Adaptive Regatta will continue through Sunday, rain or shine on Offatt’s Bayou. Sonars, the preferred sailboats, are adapted for competitive use, and will be rotated throughout the race.

Awards will be presented to the first, second and third place boats at the conclusion of racing on Sunday. The winning team in the Sonar class will receive the Doolin Cup Triple handed Trophy, which will be appropriately engraved and will remain on display at Sea Star Base Galveston.

The regatta is open to Sonar class sailboats and all sailors with disabilities re eligible to compete. Triple handed entry is open to not less than one sailor with a disability. The helmsman of each boat should be a member of his or her national authority. The U.S. National authority is US Sailing. Proof of membership will be required.

Eligible competitors may enter by completing the entry form on the Sea Star Base website.  Competitors using equipment provided by Sea Star Base Galveston will be required to complete an equipment waiver.  For additional information contact Regatta Manager David Gaston (409) 572-2562.
