Houston Police are investigating several incidents that occurred during the weekend, including Sunday's fatal shooting of a man at 1200 Wheeler.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1200 Wheeler

Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting of a man found at 1200 Wheeler about 12:50 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 22).

The victim, Anthony Ross, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Casso and Senior Police Officer S. Spivey reported:

HPD patrol officers were notified of a shooting at the above address.  Upon arrival, officers found Mr. Ross lying on the ground, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect(s).

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4512 Yale

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 4512 Yale about 2:50 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 22).

The victim, in his mid to late 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Miller and Officers C. Elder and K. James reported:

HPD patrol officers observed a vehicle parked in front of a barber shop at the above address.  The vehicle’s engine was running and the driver’s side door was open.  Officers then discovered the deceased victim.

At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect(s).

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5627 Elm Tree Drive

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5627 Elm Tree Drive about 11:55 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 21).

The victim, Edward Hargrove, 53, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer S. Spivey and Officer E. Contreras reported:

Officers responded to a shooting in-progress call at a residence at the above address.  According to witnesses, Mr. Hargrove and another man were involved in an altercation.  During the altercation Mr. Hargrove was shot.  The suspect then fled the scene.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 9603 Homestead Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 9603 Homestead Road about 8:30 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 20).

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers B. Roberts and K. Heaverlo reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found a male lying in a parking lot with a gunshot wound.  According to witnesses, the deceased male was acting erratically, approached a dark gray four-door sedan and began striking it with his hands.  As a result, the male and a passenger in the vehicle began arguing.  During the altercation, someone inside the vehicle shot the male, killing him.  The vehicle’s occupants then fled the scene.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 9900 Sugar Branch

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another at 9900 Sugar Branch about 9 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 21).

The identity of the deceased victim, 26, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  The second man, 22, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant  J. Horn and Senior Police Officers B. Nabors, L. Lovelace and Officer T. Jackson reported:

Both men were shot multiple times while at the above address.  At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect(s).

Investigation into Incident at 3498 Anita

Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 3498 Anita about 11:55 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 22).

The victim, Bernard Robinson, 17, was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officer C. Castellani reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported drive by shooting at the intersection of Anita and Scott streets and found Mr. Robinson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Further investigation determined Robinson was walking on the sidewalk toward the suspect vehicle and, at some point, was shot.  The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle is described only as an older model, dark gray, two-door Acura.

Investigation into Shooting Incident at 6900 Carvel

Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men and one woman at 6900 Carvel about 2:50 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 21).

The victims, Michael Regalado, 27, Manuel Gutierrez, 17, and Elizabeth Ramirez, 31, were transported to area hospitals with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds. 

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officer C. Castellani reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found a vehicle had crashed into a tree and three of the four occupants suffering from gunshot wounds.  The three victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.  The fourth person in the vehicle was not injured. 

Witnesses told investigators the vehicle passed two Hispanic males riding bicycles on the sidewalk.  The bicyclists then began shooting at the occupants, striking three of them.  The suspects then fled the scene.

The suspects are described only as two Hispanic males.  One is approximately 18 to 19 years old, the other approximately 16 to 18 years old.  One suspect was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue shorts.

Investigation into Shooting Incident at 10200 Peachtree

Houston police are investigating the shooting of three males at 10200 Peachtree about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 21).

The male victims, 48, 17, 17, were transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers A. Ferrell, G. Black and A. Hernandez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a residence at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found the three wounded males outside a vehicle that had been shot several times.  The three victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.  A fourth vehicle occupant was not injured. 

The suspect is described only as a white male, 20 to 25 years old, driving a blue, lifted Chevrolet pickup truck with Air Force rims.

Investigation into Fatal Crash at
13200 Cullen Boulevard

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 13200 Cullen Boulevard about 6:25 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 21).

The male victim, Brillant Louissant, 70, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Warhol and Officer C. Washington reported:

Mr. Louissant, driving gray Nissan Altima, failed to control his speed and struck a Ford Fiesta stopped at a red light at the above address.  The Nissan then struck a light pole in the middle of the median.  Mr. Louissant was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The driver of the Ford was not injured.

Investigation into Fatal Crash at
10300 Tanner Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 10300 Tanner Road about 11:05 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 21).

The male victim, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Klementich and Officer A. Mares reported:

The victim was walking eastbound on Tanner Road along the curb when he was struck by an unknown vehicle also traveling eastbound.  The driver of the unknown vehicle, possibly a Ford pickup truck, failed to pass safely and struck the victim.  The vehicle’s driver then fled the scene.
