Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted 4-1, with Andy Meyers opposed, to amend an agreement with Siddons-Martin Emergency Group for additional equipment for the Sheriff's Office command post vehicle, in the amount of $5,891, for a total amount not to exceed $845,841.

Meyers opposed the item due to the costs being paid through the Sheriff's Office Federal Forfeiture fund.

The city council voted unanimously to approve an amended and restated order establishing a toll rate schedule for the Fort Bend County Toll Road System.

Meyers inquired about annual toll rate increases, which either increase by 2 percent a year or by the Consumer Price Index All Urban Consumers.

The increases are an existing provision in the schedule, and was not being amended. The amendment was to change how the authority deals with customers who fail to pay tolls. Listen (2:37)

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Tonya Eugene to the Missouri City Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 1 Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Stephen Brown, Jr. to the Missouri City Tax Reinvestment Zone No. 3 Board of Directors.

The commissioners court took no action regarding an item authorizing advertising for bids for dumpster rental for disaster recovery efforts. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court took no action regarding reclassification of a position in the Constable Precinct 2 Office from Deputy Constable to Sergeant-Constables. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Tammy Smith on behalf of Chad and Sarah James to waive penalty and interest totaling $2,594 on property taxes for Tax Year 2016.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by John Reshkovsky to waive penalty and interest totaling $194 on property taxes for Tax Year 2016.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to grant a request by Brian Jarrard, on behalf of Waterside at Mason, LP, to waive penalty and interest totaling $12,076 on property taxes for Tax Year 2016.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a term contract to Honeywell International Inc. for HVAC Maintenance and Libraries.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to the authorize the county judge to execute and deliver possession and use agreement for transportation uses per approval of the county attorney in the matter of Fort Bend County vs. Davoody M and J, LLC, a Texas Limited Liability Company, et al concerning the Spring Green Boulevard Mobility Bond Project, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county attorney to incur litigation costs, in an amount not to exceed $10,000, regarding the same legal matter, as discussed in closed session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were approved. Agenda
