Brazoria County storm debris pickup update

The County has been working diligently to remove storm debris throughout the County since September 13th.  The goal is to have this effort completed by the upcoming holidays. To date, over 190,000 Cubic Yards of storm-related debris has been picked up. The debris effort has been a collaboration between the County’s contractor (Crowder Gulf), County Road & Bridge crews, and TxDOT crews. At the peak of the effort, over 90 trucks were picking up around 9,000 Cubic Yards of debris daily. As the need for debris pick up has decreased drastically, the County is nearing the end of the effort.

Therefore, the County is asking residents that have any remaining storm debris, to make sure it on the side of the road by November 13th (in accordance with the instructions on the County website to piling up the debris). The County is going to make one final pass to complete this effort to help our citizens recover from this event and prepare for the approaching holidays. If the debris is not on the side of the road by November 13th, the County cannot guarantee that the debris will be picked up. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the debris hotline at (979) 900-3037 or email at
