Brazoria County Commissioners Court, in a special meeting today, voted unanimously to nominate County Judge Matt Sebesta to the 2018-2019 Policy Council for the Texas Conference of Urban Counties.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to revise a previous court order regarding advertisement for a request for a statement of qualifications for engineering services for the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Funds allocated from the May 2016 flooding event.

The order was revised to include to environmental services to the solicitation.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a contract to Sorrell Construction Equipment and Materials for boat ramp clean-up.

Sorrell will provide clean-up at a rate of $24 per cubic yard to haul material less than 15 miles, $25 per cubic yard at 16-30 miles away, and $26 per cubic yard at 31-60 miles away. The company will also charge $2 per cubic yard for disposal site management.
