Half price Santa in the Park wristbands go on sale November 27

Santa in the Park is Saturday, December 9, from 3-8 p.m. in Stevenson Park, Friendswood. Admission to the Park and live entertainment is free. A wristband, $10 the day of the event, must be purchased for some amusements, including the snow hill slides, rock wall, bungee jumps, petting zoo, mechanical bull, moonwalks, train rides, and face painting.

Get your Santa in the Park amusement ride wristband at half-price November 27 through December 8. Bring an unwrapped toy (for kids age 1-12) to the Parks and Recreation Department at Friendswood City Hall, 910 South Friendswood Drive, and purchase a wristband for $5.

The donated toys go to the Blue Santa program, operated by the Friendswood Police Department and Police Officers Association. Blue Santa makes the holiday season brighter for children whose families are struggling to make ends meet and might otherwise be without gifts for Christmas. Because of Hurricane Harvey’s impact on kids in Friendswood this year, never will the need be greater.
