Kemah City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to authorize negotiations with SGR for a contract for the Kemah Police Department study.

The city council voted unanimously to direct the police department to continue to accept donations for establishing a K9 unit, with the condition that council approval is sought from city council before establishing a unit.

The city council voted unanimously to recommend Shannon Lucas for appointment to the Galveston Subsidence District Board of Directors.

The city council took no action regarding award of a sponsorship for the Fishing Tournament events through the Elite Series. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The city council took no action regarding policy revisions for renting the city's community center. The city council directed staff to review the policy and to bring back recommendations for consideration.

The city council took no action regarding plans for the development of the Hotel Conference Center.

The city council voted unanimously to approve the transfer of $521,533 from hotel occupancy tax funds to the capital projects fund for FY2017.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Council Member Matt Wiggins was absent. Agenda
