Investigation into Fatal Crash at 300 Maxey Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 300 Maxey Road about 5:10 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 20).

The identity of the deceased male victim, 49, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Arnold reported:

The driver of a silver Toyota Tundra lost control of his vehicle after the front left tire came off of his pickup truck.  The Tundra struck a blue Lincoln Town Car and then the victim (pedestrian), who was working outside his residence at the above address.

Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on Tuesday (Nov. 21).  The drivers of the Tundra and Town Car were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center with apparent non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
