Investigation into Shooting at 3000 Willowbrook Mall

Houston police are investigating the shooting of one man and stabbing of another at 3000 Willowbrook Mall about 12:20 p.m. last Friday (November 24).

One male, Christian Martinez, 21, suffered gunshot wounds and the other male, Miguel Bonilla, 29, suffered stab wounds.  Both were transported via Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital to be treated.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer G. Sullivan reported:

Mr. Martinez and his girlfriend were in the parking lot of the shopping mall at the above address and, as they walked toward one of the stores, a white Ford F-150 pickup truck stopped near them.  Bonilla, the driver of the truck, and a Hispanic male passenger exited the vehicle and exchanged words with Martinez.  The argument then escalated into a physical fight.  During the fight, Martinez was shot and Bonilla was stabbed.  All parties involved fled the scene and were eventually transported to the hospital.

Anyone with information on the other suspect in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division  at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
