Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to award a $9,921,900 contract to Teal Construction Company for the construction of a new administration building for the Sheriff's Office.

The commissioners court voted 3-0-1, with Grady Prestage abstaining, to approve payment of an invoice of $5,893 to Doucet & Associates for professional engineering services regarding Braxton Street.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve the plat for Clearstone Circle and Sunhollow Driver Dedication. The item was approved with a slight change to add the word “street.”

The commissioners court voted unanimously to grant a request by Isabelen Torres Rodriguez to waive penalty and interest totaling $264.85 on property taxes for Tax Year 2016.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to amend the FY2017 Sub-Award Interlocal Agreement with the Gulf Coast Rail District to extend the agreement for an additional year ending February 19, 2019.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to amend a professional design engineering services agreement with Dannenbaum Engineering Corporation to increase the scope of services by $681,636, for a total contract amount of $12,357,762 for the FM 1093/Westpark Extension.

Commissioner Andy Meyers noted that there are several sub-contractors involved in the project, which would receive funds through the change.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve the County Choice Silver Retiree Premium rates, as presented. Premium Rates

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county to potentially seek litigation to prevent interference with and/or restriction of access to a drainage easement regarding Allen Paksima, as discussed in closed session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. County Judge Robert Hebert was absent. Commissioner Grady Prestage presided over the meeting. Agenda
