Harris County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to reappoint Niels Aalund as the at-large director to the Houston Ship Channel Security District Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint David D. Wright as the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension director effective February 1, 2018.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to pay Martin County, Florida in the total amount of $2,669 for shipping costs in connection with the donation of helicopter blades for the sheriff’s office.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve payment to the National Association of Medical Examiners in the amount of $2,000 for the accreditation renewal fee for the Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve five positions in the district attorney’s office and authorize the reclassification five assistant district attorney positions effective December 9, 2017.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint David Turkel, Brandon Dudley, and Steve Dorman to the City of Houston Tax Increment Zone #24 Board.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Jess Fields to the Harris County Sports Authority.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Bruce Oakley to the Houston Sports Authority Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Joe Villarreal to the Harris County Housing Authority Board of Commissioners.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a settlement in a federal lawsuit styled Corley v. Harris County.

Steve Radack abstained on an item approving sole source and personal services exemptions from the competitive bid requirements for Phonoscope, Inc.

All other agenda items, with minor exceptions, were approved unanimously with all members present. Agenda
