Investigation into Shooting at 11800 Westheimer

The shooting of a man and woman at 11800 Westheimer about 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 6) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The female victim, 30, was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in stable condition.  The male, 27, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives I. Ulloa and E. Wohlgemuth reported:

Two vehicles were involved in a minor crash at the above address.  When the male drivers confronted each other, a heated argument between them ensued.  The argument escalated and both drivers produced guns and shot at each other numerous times.  One of the males sustained a gunshot wound to the facial area and a wound to the upper body.  Paramedics transported him to the hospital.  The other shooter, 47, was unharmed.  He was detained by responding patrol officers and later released.

A female motorist - driving in the same direction as the vehicles involved in the accident - also sustained a gunshot wound when a stray bullet struck and traveled through the windshield of her vehicle.  She was also transported to the hospital.
