Suspect Arrested for Reckless Arson

Harris County --  On Dec. 6, Harris County Sherriff’s Office Criminal Warrants Division apprehended and arrested Jason Herman. Herman had an open warrant for his arrest for reckless arson to a residence located in the 9900 block of Berry Orchard Ln, on Nov. 25.
“Investigators determined Herman set fire to a mattress and box spring that was located between his residence and his neighbor’s residence,” said Public Information Officer Rachel Moreno. “The fire spread to the neighbor’s home. Herman was angry after an argument with his roommate the night prior to the fire and made threats to burn the house down.”

The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office Investigations Division is responsible for fire, arson, and explosion investigations in unincorporated Harris County.
