by Garrett Bryce
Tuesday, December 12, 2017

The Hitchcock City Commission on Monday voted to extend the city's bank depository agreements with Prosperity Bank and Texas First Bank for an additional one year period.

The city commission voted unanimously to appoint Mayor Dorothy Childress to the Hitchock Industrial Development Corporation Board of Directors.

The city commission voted 3-1, with Childress opposed, to table action regarding upgrades to the system for street lights.

The city commission voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation declaring December 11 as “Hitchcock Red Raiders Day” in the city.

The proclamation was issued to the youth football team in recognition of their winning season. Coaches, parents and players on the team were at the meeting.

All other action items were approved by unanimous vote. Commissioner Randy Stricklind was absent. Agenda
