Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to cast the county's ballots in the election of the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.

The commissioners court cast 569 ballots, the majority of the county's votes, in favor of electing Paul Stamatis. The county also cast 114 ballots in favor of William Schwer and 116 votes for Sam R. Mayson, Jr.

Additional candidates for the board include Al Abramczyk, Jim Kij, Jimmi J. Pena, Rhonda Zacharias and Heather Zayas.

The commissioners court took no action regarding appointment of Brenda Jayne and reappointment of Wayne Kelley and Lucy Smith to the Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 6 Board of Commissioners. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted 3-0-1, with Grady Prestage abstaining, to approve payment of a $528 invoice to Doucet & Associates for professional engineering services regarding the Braxton Street Mobility Bond Project.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a standard utility agreement with CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC, in an amount not to exceed $57,138 for the relocation of utilities in connection with the FM 762/FM 2759 Mobility Bond Project.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to ratify a request by a student to film on county property at the Cinco Ranch Branch Library on December 8. The motion was clarified to waive insurance requirements as the project was being conducted by a student.

The commissioners court took no action regarding a bid by Juan Zavala to acquire tax resale property. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the execution of documents for the acquisition of Parcel 500 in connection with the FM 1093/Westpark Extension Project, as discussed in closed session.
