Press Release

American Legion, Post 89, in   Delivers Thanksgiving Dinners To Police and Fire Departments in Texas City, La Marque and Bayou Vista

We all know that most folks celebrate Thanksgiving Day with family and friends but some have to work that day at Police and Fire Departments.  All Legionnaires know communities would not be the same without the dedication and caring our Police and Firefighters demonstrate for the well being of their fellow citizens.  The American Legion, Post 89, is most grateful, especially to our First responders for their heroic efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

And thanks to Dickinson BBQ & Steakhouse, Owners Keith and Holly Lilley; and special thanks to Carol Rogers and Carole Barnett who started cooking the dinners at 4 a.m. Thanksgiving Day morning.

The dinners were delivered by the Riders to the First Responders with a heartfelt message of "Thank You For All The Good Work You Do and God Bless Each and Everyone of You"
