Deputies capture escaped Mississippi triple murder suspect

A fugitive triple murder suspect, who escaped from a Mississippi jail last month, was captured Wednesday by a Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy responding to a shoplifting call at a Wal-Mart in Spring.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 1 Patrol Deputy N. Gonzalez arrived at the Wal-Mart located in the 3400 block of FM 1960 W, after loss prevention officers detained two men for shoplifting.

Neither man had any identification on them. Deputies utilized a mobile automated fingerprint identification system (AFIS) to help identify both suspects.

The AFIS return identified Antoine Adams (DOB 11/21/89), and deputies were alerted to the numerous murder charges and felony escape charge from Mississippi. Adams is listed on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top 10 Most Wanted fugitives.

The second male shoplifting suspect, Freddie Reimonenq (DOB 08/19/86), was taken into custody after giving deputies a false nam e, after the mobile AFIS device identified him.

This mobile AFIS was one of five that was recently donated to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office by the Northwest Chamber Of Commerce to help deputies quickly identify suspects in the field.

“This arrest of a dangerous murder fugitive shows the value of the strong community support we receive from partners such as the Northwest Chamber of Commerce,” said Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Antoine Adams escaped from the Marshall County, Miss., detention facility on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, after being held there on murder charges in Mississippi, and two separate murder charges in Memphis, Tenn.

Adams is currently awaiting extradition back to Marshall County.
