Santa Fe City Council on Thursday voted unanimously to approve a collective bargaining agreement with the Santa Fe Police Officers' Association.

The agreement is for a three year period, and adjusts the pay scale for officers. Pay Scale

The city council voted to approve, on first reading, an ordinance allowing the operation of golf carts on certain city streets, with regulations.

The city council voted to appoint Patsy Cook to fill the unexpired term left by Daniel Kitchener on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Cook's term expires in May 2018.

The city council voted to support the appointment of Shannon Lucas to the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District Board of Directors.

The city council voted to extend the city's franchise contract with AmeriWaste, Inc. for solid waste collection services contract.

The extension is for a term of 3-years, effective January 1. A rate increase is included, which will take effect on April 1, totaling approximately $0.25 per month.

The city council voted to participate in a dispute, including potential litigation, regarding Comcast's franchise fees to the city in order to recover past underpayments and to establish protocol for the calculation of future payments.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Ronald “Bubba” Jannett absent. Agenda
