Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to award a $2,677,560 contract to Allgood Construction Co., Inc. for the construction of the Spring Green Boulevard Extension Bond Project.

The county received a total of 14 bids on the project, with four bids disqualified for various reasons.

The commissioners court voted to award a $767,785 contract to Durwood Greene Construction Co. for the construction of Powerline Road from Spice Springs Lane to Sunrise Meadow Lane.

The county received eight bids for the project, three of which were disqualified.

The commissioners court voted to reappointment primary and alternate members to Houston-Galveston Area Council committees for 2018.

Commissioner James Patterson was appointed primary member, with Paulette Shelton as alternate to the Transportation Policy Council. Richard Stolleis was appointed primary voting member, with Charles Dean as alternate, to the Technical Advisory Committee.

The commissioners court voted to appoint Judge Jerry Bussell as designee of County Court-at-Law Judges to serve on the Fort Bend County Bail Bond.

The commissioners court voted to reappoint Donna Ospina as county judge designee to the Bail Bond Board.

The commissioners court voted to appoint Brenda Jaynes and reappoint Wayne Kelly and Lucy Smith to the Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 6 Board of Commissioners. The item was amended to reflect the term ending December 31, 2019.

The commissioners court voted to reappoint John (Jack) Hazel, II and Marti Thorne to the Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 2 Board of Commissioners.

The commissioners court voted to reappoint Robert Treacy to the Sugar Land Tax Reinvestment Zone No. 1 Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted to authorize funding in the amount of $800,000 for repairs to the lower Oyster Creek Outfall due to damages from Hurricane Harvey. The item was approved subject to county attorney negotiation of an interlocal agreement with the Sienna Levy Improvement District.

The commissioners court voted to deny a request on behalf of Fortune 52 Ventures, LLC to waive penalty and interest totaling $3,772 on property taxes for Tax Year 2016.

The commissioners court voted to approve the early voting schedule for the March 6, 2018 Joint Primary Election.

The commissioners court voted to grant a request for variances for elevation and permit requirements for the placement of Federal Emergency Management Temporary Housing Units in special flood hazard areas.

All other items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
