Disaster Recovery Center in Angleton Closes Temporarily for Holiday Weekends Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 30-Jan. 1; Phone Lines Remain Open

AUSTIN, Texas – The State of Texas/Federal Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Angleton (Brazoria County) will close temporarily for the holiday weekends:

  • Saturday through Tuesday, Dec. 23-26. (The center will reopen on Wednesday, Dec. 27.)
  • Saturday through Monday, Dec. 30, 2017-Jan. 1, 2018. (The center will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018.)

The center is at the following location:


Brazoria County East Annex

(At the old Walmart building on East Highway 35)

1524 East Mulberry St.

Angleton, TX 77515

Hours: Monday-Saturday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday Noon-5 p.m.

Survivors who have questions about their disaster assistance application may call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 (voice, 711/VRS) or 800-462-7585 (TTY). Lines remain open every day except Dec. 25, 2017, and Jan. 1, 2018. Helpline hours:

  • Saturday, Dec. 23: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. CST
  • Sunday, Dec. 24:7 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST
  • Saturday, Dec. 30: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. CST
  • Sunday, Dec. 31:7 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST

Although the Angleton DRC will be closed Dec. 26, survivors can visit other DRC locations that day. Center locations and hours can be found at or by downloading the FEMA app to your mobile device.

U.S. Small Business Administrative (SBA) representatives will continue to meet with business owners, homeowners and renters to help them with the disaster loan application process and close their approved loans at other DRCs, SBA Business Recovery Centers and Disaster Loan Outreach Centers (DLOCs) located throughout the disaster area.
