Performances and concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast area include the final week of “A Christmas Carol” in Houston.

The Alley Theatre in Houston will wrap up the year with its final performances of Charles Dickens' “A Christmas Carol.” Performances are today and Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Several performances are scheduled in January to kick off 2018.

Bay Area Harbour Playhouse in Dickinson will open “Funny Money” on January 5. The show will play through January 28.

Beaumont Community Players launches 2018 with “One Monkey Don't Stop No Show” on January 19. The show will play through February 3.

Clear Creek Community Theatre's first production of 2018 will be Agatha Christie's “Black Coffee” on January 12. The play will run through January 28.

In Galveston, Island ETC, East-End Theatre Company will present “Disaster!” on January 19 through January 27. The Grand 1894 Opera House, also in Galveston, will host several events in January, including the Galveston Symphony Orchestra New Year's Pops Concert on January 7; The Official Blues Brothers Revue on January 13; The Oak Ridge Boys on January 20-21; and Tango Fire on January 26.

Main Street Theater in Houston will present “An Iliad”, opening January 4 through January 14.

Theatre Under the Stars will present “Memphis” in Houston, February 20 through March 4.
