Christmas Tree Recycling Made Easy In The City of Galveston
Divert Trees from Landfills and Mulch Galveston’s Landscape
GALVESTON, Texas –Christmas trees can be more than just a symbol of celebration during the holidays. Turned into mulch, trees can provide benefits year-round.
Galveston’s annual Christmas Tree Recycling Drive begins Saturday, December 30th, and runs through Friday, January 13th, 2018. All live evergreen trees, including flocked trees, will be accepted. Wood stands will also be accepted. To ready your tree for recycling, please remove all tinsel, lights, decorations, and non-wood stands.
Galveston Christmas Tree Recycling Program 24 Hour Drop Off Sites:
- Lindale Park: Please drop off trees at the open-top trash bin, located at 400 Marine Street.
- Eco-Center: Beginning Saturday December 30th, please drop off trees at the Eco-Center, 702 61st Street.
City Tree Collection Schedule:
- Friday, January 12th: City crews will collect trees 51st Street West to Point San Luis. Please place trees curbside by 7:30 AM that morning.
- Saturday, January 13th: City crews will collect trees 51st Street East to 1st Street. Please place trees curbside by 7:30 AM that morning.
