The American Red Cross has opened a Warming Center for individuals who are especially at risk due to the cold temperatures.

The following location will open as a Warming Center from 8:00pm Tuesday – 8:00am Wednesday:

South Main Baptist Church 
Recreation Center
200 Colquitt Street
Houston, TX 77002

In addition, The Salvation Army Greater Houston Area Command has the following facilities open:

METRO will be providing transportation to individuals who need to access warming centers.  Residents needing transportation can call 3-1-1 (713.837.0311) for transportation.

Please note that warming centers are not traditional shelters – and have very limited services.  These should be used for individuals who need to access a warm place to sleep overnight.
