Dickinson Fire Marshal’s Office asking for the public’s help

On December 28, 2017, the Dickinson Fire Marshal’s Office investigated a vacant house fire in the 5000 block of State Highway 3. This vacant house had no electricity or natural gas services at the time of the fire. The house was known to be occupied by vagrants from the area. The fire was most likely started by someone sleeping in the house overnight to keep warm, as temperatures fell close to the freezing mark on that night. The Dickinson Fire Marshal’s Office has identified a person of interest and seeks the public’s help in locating the individual to gather additional information about the fire.

The Dickinson Fire Marshal’s Office is attempting to locate Stephen Riser, a 26 year old male that has been in the Dickinson area working with a debris collection company.  Anyone with information where Stephen Riser may be living at this time is asked to contact the Fire Marshal’s Office at 281-337-6262, or call the Dickinson PD Communications at 281-337-4700 ext. 0 and ask to have a Fire Marshal Investigator contacted.

No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
