LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE:  The Perfect Girl's Night Out

Proving that a great show is always in fashion, LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE is a comedy written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron based on the 1995 book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman.  LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE is a monologue and story-telling piece about women, clothes and the memories that cover all the important subjects - mothers, prom dresses, mothers, buying bras, mothers, hating purses and why we only wear black!

Island ETC brings this international hit to our stage for six performances only January 19 - January 27, 2018.  This both sweet and funny show features Terri Hoover, Lisa Miller, Caitlyn Mytelka, Robin Schaefer and Patty Talley, and is directed by Kim Mytelka.  The actresses tell stories about terrible lighting in fitting rooms, shoes, sweaters - all while exclaiming they have nothing to wear!

Nora Ephron was a writer, director and producer best known for writing the screenplays of romantic comedy films including When Harry Met Sally (1989) and Sleepless in Seattle (1993).  She also co-authored the screenplays You've Got Mail (1998), Hanging Up (2000) and Bewitched (2005) with her sister Delia Ephron.  Nora Ephron wrote the introduction to Beckerman'aponymous 1995 book, which she immediately thought had dramatic possibilities.  She felt that the book "is not about fashion; it is about what clothes really are to us, those moments when we are constantly trying to identify through them."

All performances for this 'don't miss' show are at Island ETC, 2317 Mechanic, Galveston.  Performances are Friday, January 19th - Saturday, January 27th.  Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 8:00pm. There is one Sunday matinee at 2:30pm on January 21st.  Tickets are $30.00 for adults and $25.00 for students and senior citizens.  Tickets are available for purchase at www.islandetc.org
