Friendswood City Council on Monday voted unanimously to authorize the city to file a lawsuit against Comcast, as discussed in closed session regarding the cable television company's franchise payments to the city.

Several cities in the area have recently discussed litigation due to matters involving the company's franchise payments.

The city council voted unanimously to approved the dedication of a public sidewalk easement for the Care Now site on Friendswood Drive.

The city council took no action regarding the first reading of an ordinance amending the city's fee schedule in various sections.

The city council took no action regarding the first reading of an ordinance amending the city's Code of Ordinances to remove the requirement for contractor registration fees.

The city council voted unanimously to nominate Shannon Lucas for appointment to the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District Board of Directors.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
