Santa Fe City Council on Thursday voted unanimously to order an election for May 5 to elect the mayor and two city council positions.

Mayor Jeff Tambrella and council members Charles Coleman and Corey Jannett, who serve in Place 2 and Place 3, respectively, have terms expiring in May.

The city council voted to approve a contract with Galveston County for election services for the May 5 election.

The city council voted to approve a contract with BBG Consulting for construction plan review and building inspections for a new elementary school proposed for construction in the city.

The city council voted to authorize staff to seek proposals for a bank depository contract. The current contract expires at the end of May. The contract would be for a five-year term and take effect June 1.

The city council voted to extend the city's contract with City Manager Joe Dickson through December 2019, as discussed in closed session.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with council members Ronald “Bubba” Jannett and Joe Carothers absent. Agenda
