City of La Marque

La Marque, Texas  – Due to worsening weather conditions, City of La Marque non-emergency offices closed at noon, Tuesday, January 16, 2018, to allow employees to travel home safely. Offices are expected to stay closed through the early morning hours Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Please monitor, register for community newsflash e-notifications or follow the city’s social media accounts for updates. A determination on when the city will reopen will be made mid-morning Wednesday.

Waste Management trash service stopped mid-route this morning due to dangerous road conditions. Impacted citizens can expect trash services to resume on the next regularly scheduled pickup day.

La Marque Public Library canceled both programs scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, Storytime and Book Look.

National Weather Service Houston-Galveston announced the Winter Storm Warning has been expanded to the coast. Snow, ice and sleet will continue this afternoon.
