Impacts to League City Services

LEAGUE CITY, TEXAS – Due to deteriorating weather and road conditions, all City of League City services will open starting at noon on Wednesday, January 17. This includes all city offices, parks, recreational facilities and the building department. Please also note that all court hearings for Wednesday are cancelled.

Fire, EMS, Police and Public Works Departments will continue to have severe weather operations.

Trash routes are also expected to be delayed in the morning hours and will resume normal operations as road conditions improve. Scheduled Wednesday recycling services will be suspended until next week on Wednesday, January 23. We will continue to update residents about changes to trash services as our contractor, Republic, provides more information.

With icy conditions impacting major roadways and bypasses in our area, we urge residents take necessary safety precautions and avoid traveling, if possible. If you need to travel, please exercise extreme caution and allow extra time to arrive to your destination. The safety of our residents and employees is our number one priority.

We will continue to monitor weather conditions and will communicate any further delays or closures through our website and social media pages as conditions change.

We ask that you go to or monitor our Facebook page for updated information throughout this weather event.
