La Porte City Council on Monday voted 7-2, with Mayor Louis Rigby and Chuck Engelken opposed, to approve moving forward with considering a resolution of support at the next council meeting, for a proposed senior living facility to be located on Underwood Road.

The facility is proposed to be built on 6.96 acres on the west side of Underwood Road, north of Fairmont and south of Caniff Road. The developer is seeking support from the city council for the development in order to qualify for tax credits from the state. The resolution will be on the February 12 agenda.

The city council voted unanimously to approve water service and sanitary sewer service agreements with Carson Bayport 3, LLC for its facilities in the Bayport Industrial District.

The agreements were approved for facilities at 4311 Malone Drive, 10366 New Decade Drive, 10388 New Decade Drive and 10399 New Decade Drive.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
