Dog Attack on Galveston's West End

On Monday January 22nd 2018 at approximately 5:30 pm, Officers with the Galveston Police Department were dispatch to the 3400 block of Cove View Boulevard in reference to a dog attacking a female. Officers arrived on location and located the victim and viewed her to have severe injuries from the attack.

The suspected dog in the attack was located by Officers with the Galveston Animal Control Unit and was quarantined, pending further investigation. The animal was believed to possibly be the same animal that attacked another the previous week.

Officers were in the process of locating the animal's owner and feel the animal is a danger to the community. The victim is still receiving treatment from the attack.
