Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to enter into a developers agreement with 518SCR, LTD for the transportation and improvement project of expanding County Road 59.

The developer is establishing Southlake Section 11 and Southlake Section 12 adjacent to County Road 59. Under the agreement, 518SCR will jointly participate in the expansion and widening of County Road 59 between the Fort Bend County Line and the Gulf Coast Water Authority American Canal.

The roadway will be widened to a 4-lane divided concrete boulevard.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the General Land Office to utilize county boat ramps to offload debris removed from waterways in Brazoria County as a result of Hurricane Harvey.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to to reappoint Matina Bonnen to the Brazoria County Library Board.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a resolution authorizing the submission of a grant application to the Texas Criminal Justice Division for the Brazoria County Domestic Violence Court Program. Resolution

The commissioners court took no action resulting from closed session discussions regarding potential litigation.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve the purchase of 237 East Locust Street in Angleton for $825,000 and appropriate closing costs, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize negotiations with prospective buyers of property located at Garland Drive in Lake Jackson, Texas.
