Brazoria County Historical Museum
News Release
Wednesday, January 24, 2018

On  Thursday, February 22nd at 6:30pm the Brazoria County Historical Museum will host Women at the Turn of the Century.

This program is part of the  If Objects Could Talk series that offers a sneak peek into the Museum’s collection of artifacts.

Curator, Michael Bailey, delves back into the Museum's vault to uncover the life of women at the turn of the century.  During the industrial revolution, the role of women changed due to the mass production of material goods and the opportunities it afforded them. Women could be more than just wives and mothers.

Come learn the changing roles of women in Brazoria County as witnessed by the artifacts left behind.

The Museum is located at 100 East Cedar in Angleton. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information please visit their Facebook page or call 979-864-1208.
