Beaumont, Texas – Last week a group composed of Lamar University College of Business staff, Better Business Bureau (BBB) staff, and former GBCOC Board Chair, deliberated applications submitted for the 2018 Business Awards. The results are in and we are excited to announce the nominees:

A newly established small business with growing success and commitment to good business practices, community and employee relations.
BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR
An individual, employee or business owner, who best exemplifies the aims and purposes of the GBCOC while giving their time, efforts and resources to the betterment of the community.
The winners will be announced at the “Wines & Vines” Membership Dinner, Monday, February 19th, 6:00 – 9:00 PM, MCM Elegante Hotel. Not only will we announce the winners for the business awards but we are also celebrating our dedicated Ambassadors, present our Volunteer of the Year, and recognize the Chamber's long-standing members.
The Keynote Speaker will be Frank J. Kenny a successful entrepreneur, chamber member, chamber board member, chamber board of director’s chair, and chamber President/CEO.
Mr. Kenny coaches chamber professionals, consults with chambers, trains staff and members, and speaks professionally. He helps Chambers and Chamber Professionals reach their goals.
He has worked with hundreds of chambers over the past 7 years on their staff and member training, strategic planning, board Frank J Kenny retreats and orientations, social media, digital marketing, technology, and most other areas of chamber work.

The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce (GBCOC) serves members and the community as a catalyst to promote the economic growth of Beaumont and the surrounding areas. The GBCOC continues to place the economic development needs of established and new businesses first by advocating for the business community and developing cutting edge programs that support economic growth in our region.
