Beaumont City Council today voted unanimously to approve the purchase of one vehicle from Moore Chrysler Dodge Ram and four vehicles from Silsbee Ford to replace vehicles damaged by flooding during Hurricane Harvey.

The purchase from Moore Chrysler is in the amount of $28,813, the four vehicles from Silsbee Ford will total $138,422.

The city council voted to unanimously appoint Dana L. Timaeus as chair and Jeff Beaver as vice chair of the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Sina Nejad as chair and Greg Wall as vice chair of the Building Board of Appeals.

The city council voted unanimously to reappoint Lee Acevedo to the Building Board of Appeals.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize application for and acceptance of funding from the Texas Department of State Health Services for the Public Health Department.

The city is seeking $178,834 in grant funds from the Texas Department of State Health Services for an immunization program.

The city council voted 5-2, with Mayor Becky Ames and Virginia Jordan opposed, and to grant a request for a specific use permit to allow temporary RV parking related to Hurricane Harvey, located at 2350 North Major Drive in a Residential Multiple Family Dwelling District.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a change order for a contract with ALLCO, LLC for the Washington Boulevard Pavement Widening Phase II Project.

The change order will increase the contract by $103,893, bringing the total contract amount to $16,098,210. The change order will accommodate design changes necessary to address unforeseen conflicts with underground utilities and additional curb and driveway improvements on Executive Boulevard and Corporate Drive.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
