Pearland City Council on Monday voted unanimously to award a $359,713 contract to TDC2, LLC for construction services associated with the Reflection Bay Fiber Project.

The project will provide fiber connectivity from the city's current network to the Reflection Bay Water Reclamation Facility and the traffic signal network along Shadow Creek Parkway.

The city council voted 6-1, with Gary Moore opposed, to approve a change order with Construction Masters of Houston, Inc. for the contract associated with the Delores Fenwick Nature Center.

The city council postponed action regarding participation in an interlocal cooperative pricing arrangement with the Houston-Galveston Area Council for the purchase of police department in-car video camera systems from WatchGuard Video.

The city council voted unanimously to order an election for May 5 to elect two council positions.

Position 2, currently held by Derrick Reed, and Position 4, currently held by Keith Ordeneaux, have terms expiring in May.

The city council voted 6-0, with Tony Carbone away from the table, to award a unit supply bid to STP Services for mechanical services associated with public works facilities. The contract is for a one year period at an estimated amount of $650,000.

The city council discussed, but took no action to amend the city's Unified Development Code.

The city council voted unanimously to direct staff to proceed as discussed in closed session regarding the sale, lease or purchase of real property associated with flood mitigation.

During a special meeting prior to the regular meeting, the city council voted 4-3, with Reed, Ordeneaux and Woody Owens opposed, to appoint Chad Thuman to the Pearland Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors.

The city council voted 6-1, with Moore opposed, to appoint Lani Cade to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Theresa Delvalle to an alternate position on the Zoning Board of Adjustments.
