Nassau Bay City Council on Monday voted unanimously to adopt a resolution requesting financial participation in the Texas Water Development Board.

The city is applying to the board to begin the funding process to replace the city's water and sewer lines over the next 15 years.

The city council voted to order an election for May 5 to elect the mayor and three city council positions.

Mayor Mark Denman, and council members Sandra Mossman, Bryce Klug and Bob Warters have terms expiring in May.

The city council voted to adopt a resolution supporting a grant application to the Office of the Governor Criminal Justice Division for funding through the Rifle Resistant Body Armor Grant Program. The city is seeking $13,150 in grant funds for the purchase of body armor for the Nassau Bay Police Department.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Bryce Klug absent. Agenda

During the meeting, the city presented a $4,000 check to the Clear Creek Environmental Foundation for their efforts in the annual Nassau Bay peninsula cleanup, which will be held on February 24.
