Early Voting for the March 6, 2018 Primary Elections begins February 20th

Ann Harris Bennett, Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector & Voter Registrar reminds residents that Early Voting for the March 6th Primary Elections begins February 20, 2018, and ends March 2, 2018.

In addition, Ms. Bennett would like to urge every eligible voter to vote early which allows you to cast your ballot in any of the 46 Early Voting locations throughout Harris County.

As a customary service for Harris County residents during Primary election days, the Harris County Tax Office will have extended hours to answer citizens’ phone calls regarding their voter registration status and polling locations.

“The March Primary Elections are important to the future of our state, county communities and its residents,” said Bennett, Harris County Tax Assessor Collector and Voter Registrar. “In March and in November, residents will have the opportunity to choose our leaders. Voting is a right of eligible citizens and a duty.”

The Voter Registration team will have information about polling locations within Harris County for the primaries. Calls will be answered during regular business hours of 8:00am–4:30pm on Feb. 20th-23rd, 7:00am-7:00pm on Feb. 24th, 1:00pm-6:00pm on Sunday Feb 25th, 7:00am-7:00pm February 26th - March 2nd, 2018.

If an individual did not register to vote by the February 5, 2018 deadline, they will not be eligible to vote in the March Primary Election. However, they can still register to vote for the upcoming November 6, 2018 General Election.

Harris County Residents are encouraged to call 713-274-VOTE (8683) if they have questions or need further assistance regarding their voter registration status.
