Thursday, February 15, 2018

Dickinson City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to adopt a resolution supporting the development of Dickinson Commons, a tax credit development at 3302 Hughes Lane.

The proposed development is a 100-unit apartment complex, with a community building/clubhouse and other amenities.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a legal services agreement with Lloyd Gosselink Rochelle & Townsend, PC.

The firm will represent the city in seeking collection to recover underpaid franchise fees.

The city council voted unanimously to nominate John Harris for appointment to the Galveston Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.

Nominees will be considered by the board for appointment to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Victor Pierson.

The city council took no action resulting from closed session discussions concerning consultation with the city's attorney and personnel matters.

All other action items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
