Seabrook Rotary Awards Police Officer of the Year

On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, the Seabrook Rotary recognized Seabrook Police Officer Fernando Rodriguez as their Seabrook Police Officer of the Year recipient.  The announcement was made at the 24th Annual Men Who Cook event held at the Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook, Texas.  The Seabrook Police Officer of the Year recognition by the Rotary includes a $1,000.00 award.

Officer Fernando Rodriguez has served with the Seabrook Police Department for over a year and is assigned to the patrol division in addition to being a certified bike patrol officer.

Officer Rodriguez is a four year veteran of the United States Air Force and was formerly a police officer for the City of Pharr which is located in South Texas. Officer Rodriguez is very well respected in the department and brings experience and a community-based work ethic to the Seabrook Police Department.

In response to his award, Officer Rodriguez stated that  “working in Seabrook, with outstanding Brothers and Sisters in Blue and the most supportive community I have ever experienced, allows opportunities to connect with people in a more meaningful way than merely putting band-aids on problems”.

Officer Rodriguez is married to his wife Ashley and they have four sons, Kylar, Ryland, Kanyon, Remington and one daughter, Aurelia.
