News Release
Tuesday, February 20, 2018

Houston - Council Member Dave Martin would like to let District E residents know the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be hosting a public meeting to gather input on an access management study for State Highway 3 (SH 3) from Brookglen Drive to the Harris/Galveston County line. The meeting will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the City of Webster Civic Center, 311 Pennsylvania Avenue, Webster, Texas, 77598.

The purpose of access management is to provide vehicular access to land development in a manner that preserves the safety and efficiency of the transportation system. The SH 3 Access Management Study aims to identify short, medium, and long-term access improvements to reduce crashes, improve mobility, and support existing and future development.

The meeting will have an open house format allowing residents to come and go at their convenience, providing comments at any point. TxDOT staff will be available to answer questions. There is no formal presentation planned at this time.

Residents are encouraged to attend and provide feedback about the study. Comments must be received on or before Wednesday, March 14, 2018 to be a part of the official meeting record.
