Galveston County
Lake Friendswood Ribbon Cutting
News Release
Wednesday, February 21, 2018

Everyone is invited to the official ribbon cutting for Lake Friendswood on Friday, March 2 at 4 p.m.

The park has two floating docks, a kayak/canoe launch, multiple fitness workout stations along a one- mile concrete and boardwalk trail circling the lake and picnic tables, benches, and small barbeque pits. Officially opening following the ribbon cutting is a pavilion and permanent restrooms.

Lake Friendswood is one of the projects voters approved in the 2013 Bond Election.

Fishing (with proper license and while exercising caution) is allowed from both the floating piers and shore. The use of gas-powered engines in the park is prohibited. Swimming in Lake Friendswood is also prohibited.

To access Lake Friendswood from South Friendswood Drive (FM 518), take West Boulevard one mile to Davis Prairie Lane, then left to the park entrance at 2533 Davis Prairie Lane. Park hours are dawn to dusk, every day.
