Santa Fe City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Friday, February 23, 2018

Santa Fe City Council on Thursday voted unanimously to approve, on first reading, an ordinance providing for the continued suspension or modification of ordinances and regulations as an emergency measure in response to Hurricane Harvey.

The changes allow residents to live in mobile homes or recreational vehicles on their property while repairing their homes from damage caused by the storm. The ordinance will extend the changes for an additional six months.

The city council voted to adopt a resolution supporting the proposed Cypress Creek Apartment Homes as an affordable rental housing project to be located in the 4100 block of FM 1764, and supporting the developer's application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for 2018 competitive housing tax credits.

The city council voted voted to authorize the Santa Fe Economic Development Corporation's sanitary sewer project areas 1, 2 and 3 on FM 1764 between Winston and FM 646 North.

The city council voted to adopt a resolution reappointing Winnie Corsaro to the Southeast Texas Housing Finance Corporation Board of Directors.

The city council voted to not forward a nomination of a candidate to fill a vacancy on the Galveston Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.

All action items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
